As a couple/duo
My wife and I are Australian, retired professionals now living in Northern Portugal.
Prior to our move to Portugal we were based in the Philippines and engaged as Economic Development consultants (tourism) by AusAid (Australian Government Aid Organisation) where we were posted on assignments to developing countries including Laos, Philippines and Vanuatu.
Our travels have made us resourceful and independent so we would be “low maintenance” sitters. We are free to travel the world and take on house sitting duties. We respect people’s properties and their pets and find communication is the key.
We like the idea of house sitting as we also engaged house sitters at our house in the Philippines while we were travelling so we know both sides of the equation. House sitting allows us to explore the world and become more embedded in the experience of the places we visit.
