We're looking for someone reliable, serious and handy to keep our home in good shape when we're away. Our house sitter(s) should keep our home clean and tidy and never be afraid of communicating with us.
Please no smoking.

During spring, summer and early fall our yard needs mowing and weed whacking. The grass area isn't big but there are trees, raised beds and other obstacles to mow around. It takes about 1 hour to mow the grass. Usually mowing can only be done late afternoon when it's dry.

In winter there's not much to do in the yard. The house is heated with both a heat pump (one reversible AC unit downstairs) and a wood stove, downstairs, which requires daily cleaning and carrying wood if used. There is no central heating.

Most important there are several stray cats (6 as of July 2023) that need to be fed. They all are neutered, and treated for ticks and fleas and always stay outside of the house.
Then we have Bambi, cat number 1, she stays indoors or outdoors as she pleases (chip detector cat door)

We also have a few plants in the house that need watering, depending on the season.

We transformed an old barn here in the Pyrenees into a home. Our house looks rustic with stone walls and old beams but is functional with big living quarters on the first floor and bedrooms upstairs. A great location at the foot hills of the mountains.

Cozy home in an isolated village with one available bedroom upstairs for the house sitter; Big living quarters downstairs. New plumbing and electrical. Great location for accessing the Pyrenees (hiking in summer, fall, skiing in winter, spring, etc). 1 Hour from Toulouse city. 25 min from the town of Saint Gaudens. 7 minutes from Aspet village and grocery stores. Car is a must have.

In winter there can be long periods of rain and gloomy weather here at the foothills of the mountains, that's why everything is green nearby. But there can also be enough sun for lunch on the patio in December !

It was a pleasure for us to care about wonderful cats and house in the heart of Pyrenees for Muriel and Jõao . All the cats are lovely and spending time in the garden with soothing mountain views with them was just what we were looking for, watching spring unfold into opulence of colourful spectacle. Bambi is most domesticated cat with house rights, loving to be around humans day and night. Paloumere and Soleil are indivisible pair, mostly interested in eachother. Pique Poque, Osseau and Valier are friendly cats always around You in the garden. House is very conveniently located, allowing visiting mountains everyday, yet also fairly close to town, connected to the world by good quality paved road. It has all amenities one would expect from a modern house, the house itself having "close to nature" philosophy, with windows whose sills you can sit at connecting you with the garden. Neighbours are supportive and friendly.

Nous avons passé un séjour fort agréable à Estadens. Il y a peu de circulation dans ce quartier et les voisins sont discrets. La maison, une ancienne grange, a été rénovée et décorée avec soin. Bambi, la petite minette espiègle et câline de la demeure, est un véritable amour. Elle s’est rapidement adaptée à notre présence. Les supermarchés pour les grandes courses sont à peine à 10-12 km. Et ce ne sont pas les options qui manquent aux alentours pour faire de belles balades. Nous recommandons vivement Joao et Muriel en tant qu’hôtes.
