I had such a wonderful time looking after Patty's home and animals. It is a place I could see myself living too. Patty is very kind and I enjoyed spending a bit of time with her. The area is beautiful too. Very peaceful. There is a woodworker across the street which you can hear sometimes but it didn't bother me at all. There are many places to visit within an hour, although I ended up just relaxing around the house with the animals. The nearest big supermarket is half an hour away. A lovely pizzeria, a lake to swim and a small supermarket are fifteen minutes away. The cats are all very lovely and none of them are any trouble. The chickens and duck were easy to look after too. Friendly. The house stayed relatively cool during the day and the temperature cools off at night so even in summer you'll have a good night's sleep. If it is hot, there is a stream at the back of the garden where you can sit or lie in! The house itself is basic and not an Ikea home. But it has everything you need. It was fine for me! I would definitely go back again. Thank you again Patty. Wishing you truly all the best.

Patricia is a wonderful host! We couldn't have dreamed of a better home-sitting experience. She welcomed us warmly with a wood fire and a delicious dinner. We had a really good time with her on our first day before she left. Her house and garden are gorgeous, a little fairy tale paradise surrounded by rivers, forests and cliffs. She makes amazing pebbles sculptures of wolves and foxes and she decorated the house herself and made it very warm and cozy. The cats Lola, Waggy, Jeff and Kev are all adorable, calm and affectionate. They love cuddles but they are also independent and with very distinct personalities, from the young playful fellow to the old wise one! We had a really great time with them and already miss them. The ducks and chicken are also very cute and funny, they walk freely in the garden (and they give delicious eggs!). Patricia really cares for all her animals and takes good care of them all, as well as the wild birds. There are several stunning hikes to do in the area and a very nice trail that starts from the village. It's a perfect place for a nature break or artistic retreat surrounded by lovely furry and feathery friends :)
Grenoble, France - November 2020

We had a lovely and relaxing stay at Patty’s house. We had good communication prior to arriving and she made us feel welcome. The cats and chickens were easy to look after. The house is in a tranquil spot, simple and comfortable though as Patty says it’s ‘not an ikea home’ so not luxurious, which was absolutely fine for us.
