Our two female cats, Cindy and Jazzy, are as independent as cats normally are - ensuring they are fed each day, emptying their litter tray and enjoying lots of cuddles (but only when they feel like it..........) fulfils their needs.

They normally sleep in the house at night and wander around the garden and village during the day. Whilst you are not tied to the house during the daytime, we do expect you to be here every night.

Our published dates allow for you arrive the day before we leave so that we can show you the house and introduce you to our cats. We will, of course, offer you dinner the evening you arrive. Similarly, we return on the 22nd, allowing us to catch up with you that evening before you leave on the 23rd.

Our home is a fully restored and modernised 14th to 16th century, fortified stone house in a small hamlet with panoramic views, situated between the Cèze and Ardèche river valleys. Your accommodation comprises living room with original 14th century fireplace and stone floor, recently refitted kitchen, sunny dining room, upstairs lounge and en-suite bedroom. There is a spacious garden with both sunny and shady terraces, central heating, Fast WiFi throughout and both English & French television. In the summer there is a swimming pool. There are lots of opportunities for walking and cycling in the local area. While the hamlet may look remote, we are only 10 minutes drive from two villages with shops, supermarkets, petrol stations, restaurants, bars and markets. There are many other ancient villages in the area, including four classified as some of the most beautiful in France. Within about an hour's drive there are several towns including Uzès (recently voted as having one of the best markets in France), Nîmes, Avignon and Orange. There is also the Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct. There is no public transport in the area so your own car is essential. We are about 40 minutes from junction 19 of the A7 autoroute (motorway). We …

Please note that the house has several steep, stone staircases and is not suitable for children or people with mobility difficulties.

It was an absolute pleasure house and pet sitting for Paul and Allison. They are such a lovely, friendly, welcoming and trusting couple with easy to care for cats Jazz and Cindy. Their house is truly magnificent as is the area. We explored in depth all around even though the weather wasn't too kind. The little village is interesting and there are many beaux villages in close proximity. We had a wonderful week and would love to return. Can definitely recommend this sit. Thanks again.

Alison et Paul nous ont accueilli très chaleureusement et nous avons partagé un dîner très convivial en leur compagnie.. Jazzy et Cindy sont des chattes adorables avec chacune leurs mimiques , trop chou,et nous avons été très heureux de les câliner les soirs , dans le calme et la douceur, un moment privilégié pour elles et nous-mêmes Nous avons pu profiter aussi de leur belle propriété, et découvrir une région ,que nous ne connaissions pas,avec de magnifiques villages labellisés « plus beaux villages de France ! Conseillés par Paul et Alison .
